People Power on The Country Road

One of the most outstanding aspects of an unusually long Indian Summer are the dramatic colours and vibrant vistas that come with the season’s characteristically directional, warm early morning and late afternoon light.

Just when I thought photo technology designers were surely nearing a moment in time where their  creations could not really surprise me at all, I find myself today as excited by the images their current Digital SLR cameras give me as any big kid could hope to be. And the cause of this outburst of inspirational joy? Well, Sharon says, “it’s just a camera”...

When Janet asked if I might like to participate in a “no-holds-barred” Inter-Office version of the Edmonds Home Cookery Bake-off last week the very first thought I had was, yes, that sounds like a bit of fun. Immediately a huge second thought, almost seismic, brought on the shivers.
