Totara Reserve Regional Park

Totara Reserve Regional Park is an ancient forest in the beautiful Pohangina Valley offering camping, walks and swimming.
It is one of the best and most accessible remaining examples of the ancient forest that once covered much of the Region. Visitors will experience a gentle introduction to nature and a safe way of experiencing 'wild' New Zealand. There is a large variety of long and short walks.
Totara Reserve is also a popular camping and picnic spot, with plenty of facilities availiable.
Nearby attractions include Pilgrims Rest Tea Rooms and Songbird Gardens.
