I love working directly with people, and meeting new and interesting characters, so working at i-SITE Palmerston North for over five years was a perfect fit! I love a challenge, and the i-SITE definitely brought this to the table in the way of booking holidays for varied travelers, assisting with coordinating events and group trips, finding solutions for the most bizarre enquiries and so much more! My passion for our region brought on a wider aspect to my job, and I assisted with launching The Country Road. This led to me working at Destination Manawatu full time, however I am now also the Manager of the fantastic i-SITE team so I'm always popping over to the i-SITE to chat with the team and meet and greet our visitors.

Keeping things local, natural and real.

Most of my weekends are spent exploring our Region and it never ceases to amaze me that no matter how well you think you know it, there is always something new to discover.

My family and I are very keen on fishing and kayaking, so a day at the beach is perfect for us.

My secret hobby is op shopping.  I love to score treasures from antique and used goods shops, whether it's a 1950's relic, a pre-loved book or a bargain fashion find.

I'm no green thumb, but I love to spend time in the garden, trying new things and mostly growing all sorts of edible delights.

You are most likely to see me walking the dog, at the beach - out and about in our spectacular region.

My role as Coordinator is to work with local operators in the district, help them develop their business and marketing plans, improve their online profile, and to develop content for a wide range of online, print and radio promotions.  I work directly with the local communities to find out what they want, and what they don't want when it comes to leisure tourism in our Region.

The Country Road is a series of touring routes through some of the most spectacular scenery.  It is cycling along down country roads, meeting the locals and experiencing what is real to our Region.  It is a secluded swimming hole in the picturesque Pohangina Valley, and it is our people and places.

The Country Road gives alternate routes to independent travelers,where their journey will become real, romantic, exciting and truly kiwi.
