Wellington Ladies Kennel Association and Wellington Kennel Centre proudly present a weekend of Championship Shows for pedigree dogs.
Approximately 500 dogs representing many different breeds from the Chihuahua to the Great Dane will be competing for ribbons and the coveted Best in Show awards. All dogs competing in these shows are registered at Dogs New Zealand (Dogs NZ), formerly known as the New Zealand Kennel Club, the governing body of dog related sports in New Zealand.
Exhibitors come from varied backgrounds, but the common interest is the love of dogs. Conformation championship shows provide the opportunity for various breeds to be promoted and for breeders to present to their peers the results of their breeding programme.
Members of the public are allowed to attend but it is requested you leave your own dogs at home.
