Alan McElroy grew up in a very religious Ireland in the 80’s & 90’s. It was everywhere! Like the Big J man himself! But Instead of heavenly influences, he was heavily influenced by the holy trinity of TV, films & video games! In fact, he watched & played them all, religiously. It was more of What Would John McClane Do? Or ‘Love Thy Neighbours’ (He used to kiss the telly when Charlene Robinson was on screen).

Forget Christ Has Risen, when Sigourney Weaver was risen four feet above the bed while possessed in Ghostbusters, that was a surprise early entrance into adulthood for a young Alan McElroy.

When our biggest idols were wise cracking, hungover cops who save the day and get the girl, it was no wonder we got sucked in.
