Photo Safari: A Photographic Journey in Nine Different Directions

Photo Safari brings together nine photographers from the Manawatū–Whanganui region, united by a shared passion for photography and a creative journey that began in UCOL photography courses in 2024.

What started as a learning experience has grown into an ongoing artistic collaboration, with each photographer developing their own distinctive style while continuing to explore, create, and support one another. Through regular photographic excursions, the group captures a diverse range of subjects, from people and landscapes to nature and everyday moments, each viewed through a unique lens.

This exhibition showcases the individual perspectives of nine artists, highlighting both the connections and contrasts that emerge when photographers share the same environment yet see the world differently. Exploring themes of observation, perspective, creativity, and connection, Photo Safari invites visitors to discover the many ways photography can capture and interpret the world around us.
