Everyone who works should earn a wage they can live off, but sadly that's not the case today- it's time to say enough!
Tens of thousands of workers work for less than the living wage, driving up poverty and meaning many families struggle to make ends meet. It doesn't need to be this way. Unfortunately, the government is only making things worse. The proposed increase in minimum wage this year is only 35 cents, which is well below inflation, meaning the poorest workers are getting a pay cut this year.
ENOUGH! Let's come together to Unite for a Living Wage. Join this action to show your support for workers fighting for a better future, and call on the Government and employers to take real action on poverty by making a serious increase to wages.
This free community meeting is open to all!!
So please if your free come along and bring others!
Hosted by Unite Union and with support form Unions Manawatu .
