Rural Reels at Blast From The Past!
This October, we’re heading back to the country for a special Rural Month edition of our Old Time Cinema experience
In celebration of Manawatu's Rural Month, we’ve put together a screening that celebrates rural life, farming communities and a little slice of our agricultural past.
Alongside our usual collection of fascinating vintage cinema shorts, we’ll be dusting off some very special locally filmed rural shorts from our collection – giving you the chance to see familiar countryside, local history and rural life captured on film.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Blast From The Past cinema experience without the treats!
Your $20 ticket includes freshly popped popcorn, old-school Jaffas, ice cream, tea and coffee, and a full screening of vintage cinema shorts you simply won’t find on the streaming services.

It’s not just a trip to the movies – it’s a trip back in time.
