The June 8 concert in the Globe Sunday Matinee series will feature a return of brilliant violinist Jun He who is now resident in the city.
Jun graduated with a Master of Arts in violin performance at the University Mozarteum Salzburg in 2005. In 2006, she taught violin performance in the Private University Hualian China, until her move to New Zealand. Jun graduated from the New Zealand School of Music with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance in 2014. She later regularly played in the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and in the Bach Musica in Auckland. Currently Jun is the leader of the Manawatu Sinfonia.
She will be joined at the piano for this concert by Guy Donaldson.
The programme includes rondos by Mozart and Schubert, as well as colourful works by Paganini, Saint-Saens and Wieniawski.
Admission by donation. Suggested $5.
