This year Swamp City Big Band has been operating for 10 years. The band, only playing a few concerts each year, has now performed over 40 concerts since it started.
"Swamp City Big Band” was formed by Neville Lauridsen and it is made up from some great musicians in Palmerston North and surrounding areas that have a passion for the “Big Band” sound.
The SCBB concert, to be held on Sunday 11th October, will as usual be filled with a wide variety of music. This includes the music of Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass, James Last, Duke Ellington and many more great composers & arrangers.
When you come along to a Swamp City Big Band concert we can guarantee you will be in for great evening. We are excited to be presenting our concert on the 11th October in the Globe Theatre, Palmerston North. Ticket are available from the theatre. We hope to see you there.
