Visitors will enjoy many things, from the sunlit lawn to a shady grove of stately Japanese cedars, paved swirls, a goldfish pond and conifers of all shapes and sizes.
Plants and strong architectural shapes abound, including gnarled trunks and shaggy spikes of dwarf cabbage trees and the glistening bronze hairs of carex sedges. Mungoven Garden is popular as a wedding and event venue, and has recently been recognised as a National Garden of Significance by the NZ Garden Trust.
