Rana Naser and her family are originally from Jordan and moved to Palmerston North in 2006 from Pukekohe, South Auckland.

Rana is a Food Safety and Quality Advisor at Fonterra’s Research and Development Centre in Palmerston North.  Together with her husband, Rana raised their two sons in Palmerston North and she says there is no place they would have rather done so. Rana is also the president for the Manawatū Multicultural Society, helping newcomers to the city feel welcomed and supported.

What do you love to do?

"I love going for long walks along the Manawatū river and shopping in the city centre. My husband plays social soccer every Sunday, and I attend Thursday night Zumba classes."
