Experience the thrill at Arapuke Mountain Bike Park , where the call of adventure is met with your bike and helmet. Nestled just 15 minutes outside Palmerston North, running down the Tararua Ranges and overlooking the Kahuterawa Valley, this park caters to every skill level, from speed demons to kids on their first bikes.
Arapuke Mountain Bike Park is inclusive for all. If you're dusting off your bike, the Ice Breaker trail is a great first ride – a grade 2 trail that's mostly flat, perfect for getting rolling. For the downhill wind-in-your-hair types, the Mr Twister trail, graded at 3, is another confidence builder.
After an exhilarating day, unwind with one of our locally brewed beers at Brew Union. With a constantly evolving menu, they brew a variety of craft beers, offering wood-fired pizzas to complement your drink.
Walking in from Broadway Avenue, you're greeted by large steel tanks where the team hand brews 1200 litres per batch. Focusing on unfiltered and unpasteurised beer, they tweak recipes to showcase different tasting hops throughout the season.
With 21 beverages on tap, ranging from the crisp Golden Ale to IPAs and the Palmy-famous Swamp Juice, a hazy IPA and best-seller, Brew Union promises an indulgent experience. Teaming up with friends at Cartwheel Creamery in Pohangina Valley, their beer is the perfect unfiltered accompaniment to their cheese board – a match made in indulgence heaven. How epic is that?
