On the surface of a stormy ocean, there are waves and there can be a lot of turbulence.
But the deeper we go below the surface, the more still waters become regardless of the weather at the surface.
By looking within our own mind, we can find similar stillness and refuge from the stress and chaos of our modern life. Happiness and suffering depend upon the mind.
Buddha teaches that the only real source of reliable happiness and inner peace is found within the mind. By meditating deeply on the nature of the mind, we can begin to taste the stillness and clarity that lie within.
During this course we will learn and practise meditations that will help us to experience mental clarity and inner peace by meditating of our mind.
We will explore how meditating on our own mind offers us the ability to let go of stress and worry by enabling us to get a clearer, more dispassionate view of our own thoughts and feelings.
As a result, we can begin to connect with our potential for deep stillness.
