‘On The Spot Shakespeare’ is Shakespeare like you’ve never seen before!

Completely improvised in the style of the Bard himself, we create new stories based on suggestions from the audience.

It’s a fun, interactive experience that brings Shakespeare’s timeless themes to life in unexpected ways.

Brought to you by local legends ‘Hot Spot Improv’ and travelling troubadours ‘Pop Rox’ for Aotearoa’s hottest improvisational collaboration.

There is audience interaction, but no one will be dragged up on stage we doth promise!

When and Where:
Get yourself to Te Manawa Museum for this unique theatrical experience on the 5th and 6th of July!

We have four performances scheduled:

Performance 1: Sat 5 Jul 12pm – 1pm
Performance 2: Sat 5 Jul 5pm – 6pm
Performance 3: Sun 6 Jul 12pm – 1pm
Performance 4: Sun 6 Jul 5pm – 6pm

Tickets
Entry to this event is FREE and no prior booking is required. However, please note that seats are limited to 30 people per session and will be on a first come first serve basis.

What to Bring:

Snacks! Enjoy your favorite treats while watching the show.
Warmth!: Blankets, hot water bottles, thermos, etc. to keep cozy. This is an outdoor event (unless it rains), so wrap up warm!
Heart!: Bring your enthusiasm and be ready for some fun!
Cash!: Although this is by no means required, we will pass around a hat for you to give a koha if you so wish. Your support encourages us to continue creating more shows in the future.
