Join weaver and textile artist Natasha Christensen in her studio to learn about weaving, see demonstrations, and even have a go yourself - you can make your very own hand woven mug rug to take home for free!
Natasha Christensen is a Manawatū based weaver and fibre artist who works with only natural fibres and hand-dyes yarn in colours inspired by the beautiful native plant life of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
She works from her studio which is located on a farm near Ashhurst and is a large, light-filled workspace, which she shares with her father rural artist Graham Christensen. She weaves on a beautiful hand-crafted kauri floor loom made by famed Marton loom maker the late Bruce Nitschke.
Join Natasha in the studio where she celebrates the slow nature of weaving, the patience and mindfulness required, and the true beauty of a unique hand-crafted textile.
