Six voluptuous B-movie “Scream Queens” reunite at a 1998 sci-fi and horror convention to revive their fading careers with a wild musical revue for their devoted fans. Through big songs, outrageous stories and over-the-top dance numbers, they celebrate the wonderfully ridiculous world of low-budget horror films—complete with fake monsters, gooey special effects and terrible scripts. As each queen reveals her dreams, rivalries and secrets to surviving in the cult movie world, the audience is pulled into the fun with screaming contests and a zombie talent search in this comedy packed with camp, nostalgia and musical mayhem.
