Welcome to the first national gathering for displaced persons and their descendants who settled in New Zealand in the World War Two era. Day one Sat 17 Oct, we are in Palmerston North at the Distinction Hotel (conference style) and day two Sun 18 Oct, we visit Pahīatua sites (Marae/camp site and museum).
The event early bird fee (until 1 July) is $200.00. After that it is $250. One day registration is $150 and there are restricted numbers. The event is restricted to 500 people.
Other costs: Event buffet dinner on Saturday evening is $80 (this is optional)
The Sunday bus return trip (PN/Pahīatua/PN) is and additional $10, if required. People are also taking cars.

Brief Programme:
Day One 
Registration starts at 9am. The event starts at 10am with a welcome.
There are keynote speakers, workshops, discussion groups, family research help and the opportunity to meet and mix.
There is a buffet dinner from 6pm at an extra $80 charge. Please add this on to your admission ticket if you chose to attend.
Day Two
We are based at the Pahīatua Marae and from there visit the site of the Pahīatua DP camp for a commemorative event, the DP memorial and the Pahīatua Museum. The event finishes at 3.30pm following a Poroporoaki/farewell. Then we return to Palmerston North or people can travel home.
Travelling by bus is an extra $10 charge for the return journey.
