The Way We Sit With the World is a series of graphic artworks exploring identity, belonging, and the quiet rituals that shape a life. Rooted in her experiences as a Pakistani Muslim woman raising two children in Aotearoa, Hina Nasir reflects on migration, motherhood, and becoming Tangata Tiriti through moments of care, memory, joy, and longing. From the scent of the ocean breeze to sharing comfort food and sitting close to the earth, the works celebrate the ordinary as a place of meaning.
Intimate yet universal, the exhibition invites us to consider how we make home, nurture belonging, and sit with ourselves, each other, and the world.
