Devils On Horses is a gripping documentary-drama exploring the profound bond between soldiers and their horses during the harsh Sinai-Palertine campaigns of World War One. Combining archival footage, interviews, and reenactments, the film highlights how these horses provided solace, stability, and purpose amidst the chaos of war, becoming lifelines for their riders.
Despite their critical role, soldiers and horses faced immense peril, with the post-war quarantine laws forcing heartbreaking farewells. The film resonates today, paralleling the struggles of World War One veterans with modern challenges faced by returning soldiers, particularly mental health issues and rising suicide rates.
Join us for some light refreshments from 2.30pm with the film screening from 4pm. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. There will be a Q & A session after the screening.
