The biggest Stockcar event this season at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th December 2024 will see the Fast Lane Spares New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prix Champion crowned. Two spectacular nights of metal crunching stockcar action, with drivers from all around the North Island making the trip to the Robertson Prestige International Speedway to battle it out!
With in excess of 135 Stockcars and 5 groups of qualifying you can bet that Friday 27th December will see some of the most spectacular Stockcar racing seen this season. The qualifying heats will be electric as these drivers do their best to qualify for the Fast Lane Spares New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prix. With notable names including 1nz Kyle Rowe, 2nza Logan Peat and 3nzv Cody Lockett all in attendance, these drivers will be ones to watch. The addition of the limited field of Saloons for the Manawatu Saloon Car Championship will also add to the full program, with the saloons racing wheel to wheel you can expect spectacular racing. The local heroes including Paul Hosking, Mike Denham, Calvin Honore and Ben Jones will all be looking to make sure the Manawatu Saloon Championship title stays at home.
Once the finalists are found on the Friday night you can expect a sensational night of Stockcar racing on the Saturday night with the repechage and final chance for drivers to make the Top 30 car field for the Fast Lane Spares New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prix. These drivers will be willing to put it all on the line to contest this championship title, and there will be no doubt a lot of action from the drop of the green flag. A second-tier Fast Lane Spares championship will also compliment the stella programme and be filled with Stockcar drivers who are also just as eager to get on the podium for the second-tier championship, this is also no mean feat with the number of Stockcar drivers in attendance. Consolation Stockcar races will be included in the programme for the Stockcar drivers who haven’t made the Fast Lane Spare New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prix + Fast Lane Spares Tier 2 New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prix. Add in the Manawatu Minisprint Championship on Saturday 28th December and what an action-packed night you will have, with the last chance for these drivers to finalise their setups for the upcoming New Zealand Minisprint Championship on Saturday 25th January 2025. With local drivers looking to make their mark including Nathan Jefferies, Daniel Nickel and if the competition wasn’t hot enough, there’s the Stratford & Wanganui competitors who will no doubt have a shot at the title, with a strong contingent of travelling drivers, this championship title is really going to come down to the wire!
Tickets are available to purchase through Ticketek www.ticketek.co.nz (Tickets purchased incur an additional service fee) or on race day from Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 4pm each day. Racing Starts at the earlier time of 6pm both nights.
Admission prices both nights are $30 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $70 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
