The 1860 Band was, for nearly two decades, one of NZ’s top pop-fusion bands which in the late 70s and early 80s doubled as the rhythm section of the Rodger Fox Big Band. The two surviving members of the original band, Geoff Culverwell and Peter Blake, have revived the band as a fitting tribute to those years of Rodger’s musical life. Their exciting jazz-fusion repertoire is reminiscent of Quincy Conserve and the original 1860 Band.
