New Year’s Eve in The Square

Ring in 2026 with an unforgettable night of celebration in the heart of Palmerston North.

Whether you’ve got little ones or you’re staying up to welcome in the new year, our free, family-friendly, alcohol-free event has something for everyone.

Te Marae o Hine – The Square will come alive with live music from CS House Band, Tom Knowles and The Full Noise Boys, and Superset. Rollicking Entertainment will MC the event and are bound to keep everyone on their toes.

Kids can enjoy bouncy castles, face painting and other activities, while everyone can grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks or vendors onsite.

There will be two fireworks displays:

9.30pm – families with younger children

Midnight – to ring in the new year

Bring a picnic blanket or chair and settle in for a fun-filled evening with friends, whānau and the awesome Palmy community.
