Celebrate the arrival of 2025 with an unforgettable night of family-friendly fun at Te Marae o Hine – The Square on New Year's Eve, Tuesday 31 December 2024. From 5pm to midnight, this alcohol-free event will be packed with entertainment and activities for all ages.

Two spectacular fireworks displays will light up the sky as we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the start of a new year, with a special countdown at 9.30pm for the little ones and the main event taking centre stage at midnight.

Two stages of exciting performances
The Lost Tribe of Aotearoa is headlining for adults on the main stage.
For the little ones, an international DJ set by Lenny Pearce of The Wiggles Soundsystem, whose lively Toddler Techno and Baby Rave performances are sure to have the crowd of tiny dancers grooving.
Over at the second stage, thrill-seekers can enjoy captivating cabaret acts, juggling, chainsaw displays, and fire-breathing performances.
Endless activities for all ages
Interactive activities, including a silent disco and an inflatable kingdom that will stay open all night.
Science workshop, with flying kiwi launches, screaming cups, rock-gluing, and exciting chemistry experiments to entertain and educate curious minds.
Kids can dig for dinosaur bones at the Dinozone sandpit or explore the phases of the moon exhibit.
Under-5's area with sensory play, fenced for extra safety
We’ll have a grandstand for seniors and anyone with limited mobility available. Flamingo Scooters are also offering a special discount code for scooter rides, making it easier to travel to and from the event. Food trucks and vendors will also be available onsite all night long.
