Plunket Shield Championship - Central Stags v Auckland Aces

The only chance this season to see the Central Stags in first-class (four-day) mode at Palmy North, and it's a special match. Not only is it the Stags' first red-ball game of the season, but it's the start of the Plunket Shield's 100th summer as the national men's comp, and, Fitzherbert Park is where it all began for the Stags in their home games, when they played here in just their second match ever in 1950.

That's all special sauce to the Stags who are regular champions in this competition and are celebrating CD's 75th jubilee.

FREE admission every day to come and watch them make it a winning occasion against the Aucks, against whom Stags captain Tom Bruce scored a Stags record 345 last season (second only to Bert Sutcliffe!)

Toss on day one at 10am. Livescores and ground updates at www.cdcricket.co.nz and see you back here for the Super Smash in December.
