The only T20 Super Smash event in Palmerston North this season is perfectly timed to bring family and friends along for a relaxed, post-Xmas fun day out at the park that's super easy on your pocket.
Family-friendly ticket pricing (with free entry for under 5-year-olds) and multi-ticket savers for groups make this an affordable option, with loads of wholesome entertainment and free giveaways for the kids.
High-five The Stag mascot, sample the food & ice cream trucks, coffee & beverage tents, check out the team merch tent, be in to win fan prizes, taste the Sprig+Fern craft beers and ciders on site - in other words, everything you need is here for a smashing summer's day.
Tickets gain you entry to both T20 matches on the day and you can come in at any time, with the Central Hinds playing defending women's Super Smash champions, Melie Kerr's Wellington Blaze from 12.40pm, and the men's national Super Smash champions our very own Central Stags laying down the challenge to the Wellington Firebirds from 4.25pm.
Gates open at 11.40am and as this event traditionally attracts a big crowd, we recommend getting in early for earlybird parking at the hockey grounds, or street parking on Fitzherbert Ave or park in The Esplanade.
"Mates Pack" ticket discount packages are available online only up until the day before the game (i.e. Boxing Day); but you can score a family pass on game day either at the park or online. Most ticket prices do go up slightly (by $5)* on game day, so get yours ahead of time and you'll score the best deals and skip that queue!
For more about our Central Stags and Hinds teams, check out www.cdcricket.co.nz (fanzone; see terms and conditions for refunds, and what you can/can't bring in). Got a query? Email [email protected]
*A small booking fee applies to all ticket sales
After the event, visit the Stags and Hinds facebook photos for crowd snaps from our roving Super photographer (she's very good).
See you there, Palmy Army!
