You're invited to join the UCOL artists and designers for a presentation of The City & The City group exhibition at the Edith Gallery.

UCOL's creative campuses in Whanganui and Palmerston North, alongside invited collaborators, explore the many ways place is inhabited, perceived, remembered and imagined.

Working across projection, animation, painting, textiles, digital media, installation and speculative design, participating artists respond to the city as a lived environment, social field, ecological system and evolving cultural landscape. Through animated visions of Whanganui, investigations of public space, speculative objects, communication infrastructures and painterly translations of urban surfaces, the exhibition reveals the overlapping realities that coexist within everyday life.

The City & The City explores the urban environment not as a singular place but as a shared condition, continually remade through multiple and overlapping ways of inhabiting, perceiving and experiencing the world.
