As the Manawatū Garden Festival is held in a number of different locations in both public and private gardens, please be mindful and take care to watch for slip and trip hazards (including tree roots, stones, uneven ground, wet or slippery surfaces), moving vehicles, and around bodies of water. Our garden operators have done all they can to mitigate or minimise these in preparation for your visit, however we ask that you please take care and pay attention as you go.
A number of the gardens and venues have uneven terrain or large bodies of water on the property. All children (especially little ones!) are required to be supervised at all times.
Accessibility varies greatly (i.e. distance between parking zones and into gardens, size of each garden, open space etc.). There are several gardens that are more compact, have short distances between car parks, and have flatter or more accessible terrain - these can be found in the FAQ section in the digital festival hub.
For gardens that are wheelchair accessible, check for the 'wheelchair' icon on each garden listing in the digital festival hub.
Please take care when driving between venues and plan your timings to allow plenty of time for breaks, and to get to your booked date and time. Access to some gardens requires a short drive over gravel roads, or via a narrow driveway. Please be courteous to other vehicles.
All gardens are smoke-free. Smoking and vaping are not permitted at any time.
