This garden is a typically New Zealand style and also features a large number of old and protected exotic trees such as a magnificent Liriodendron Tulipifera (USA), Himalayan Cedar and oaks. A rose garden overlooks the picturesque Hokowhitu Lagoon. A 100-year-old Wisteria flowers in November and Magnolias are at their best in September. The garden visit is complimented by a history archive in the Coach House. The Category One listed Historic Places Trust property is owned by Palmerston North City Council and administered by Caccia Birch Trust Board.
Free casual garden access, groups need to phone ahead and may be charged a small fee.
