Spanning nearly 450 sqm, Kaitahi accommodates up to six guests across two suites. The expansive dining table seats 24 with panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can relax in the main lounge by a log fire set in a volcanic rock wall, explore the wine cellar, or enjoy the in-house cinema. In 2023, hosts Jazz and Ryan purchased what would become Kaitahi, opening the lodge in 2024. United by a love of food, wine, and family, they bring both expertise and warmth to every stay. Ryan is a highly experienced chef, while Jazz’s charisma ensures a truly memorable visit. Raised in rural New Zealand, their food philosophy is rooted in simple farm fare, enriched by Ryan’s passion for seafood and the principles of kaupapa Māori.
