Within the 130-acre (53 ha) Rangiwahia Scenic Reserve there are two pest-control tracks that are able to be walked by the public - the Reserve Track which is 2.1kms return, and the slightly more challenging Reserve-Lookout Track which is 4.5kms return. A pink triangle marks the entrance of the paper road, with pink markers used to guide you along the track itself. Most people take one hour to complete the walk, and it's well worth taking the time to experience.
Left untouched by early settlers, this 130-acre native virgin bush reserve is a beautiful treasure, with many native species including rimu, miro, matai, maire, kahikatea, rewarewa and several species of rata.
