Tussock to Dune

Tussock to Dune is a four day, four night e-bike ride from the highest point on the Taihape Napier Road (the Gentle Annie) to the beachside settlement of Koitiata.

The Rangitikei District is hill country at its finest and the best of it is hidden well away from State Highway 1. Yes, there are climbs. Daily elevation gain can reach 1,200 metres, with distances ranging from 40 to 65km per day. But the rewards are real: sweeping vistas, quiet back roads, and small rural communities that feel genuinely off the beaten track. Trail surfaces reflect the full variety of the landscape, 10% cross-country farm tracks, 50% backcountry gravel and 40% sealed country roads that see very little traffic. It all adds up to a riding experience that's as visually stunning as it is satisfying. All meals and accommodation are included throughout, so all you need to focus on is the ride.
Conditions:
A minimum of four riders is required for a guaranteed departure. However, check with us. There will most likely be others already booked on any particular departure.
