A vibrant, Mexican inspired, totally Instagram worthy, restaurant and bar. Think tacos, fajitas, cocktails, tequila, mezcal and more! Libre is also a great option for those looking for delicious vegan friendly options.   

LOCAL TIP: The frozen marg is a fan favourite, but if you truly want to impress your friends check out the tequila and mezcal tasting trays.

LITTLE SAVANNA

With a large fire roaring in the background, this warm and inviting South African restaurant brings to life all your ski lodge fantasies. Little Savanna provides some of the best service in town paired with some of the best meat in town so you’re always onto a winner.  

LOCAL TIP: If cocktails are your thing, be sure to try the Tropic Thunder! This delicious, refreshing drink is made all the more fun with the lolly sharks swimming in the big blue.

SAIGON CORNER

Fresh, healthy, and zingy, Saigon Corner has quickly grown to one of the more popular restaurants in the city. A light, bright space, the beautifully designed eatery is surpassed only by the authentic Vietnamese street food that always packs a punch of flavour! 

LOCAL TIP: Don’t underestimate the salads, they mean business and are a great option that will leave you feeling full, fresh and satisfied.

For a truly authentic Canadian dining experience, check out Beaver and Bear. Whether you’re looking for a place for after work drinks, or a romantic date night out, the lively, casual and cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for dining for groups of all sizes.

LOCAL TIP: Highlights here are the chicken wings (hot or sweet - the choice is yours), and of course the notorious poutine - cheese, gravy, chips, need we say more?!

For a taste of South India, head into The Square to visit Arranged Marriage. The open kitchen means the tantalising aromas will hit you as you walk through the door, aromas that are backed up by the full flavours you’ll experience at the table.

LOCAL TIP: Looking for something a little different? Check out the Dosa, a uniquely South Indian savoury pancake filled with your choice of meats or veggies, the Dosa is served with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambar – yum!

NOODLES AND DUMPLINGS

One of Palmy’s best kept secrets, Noodles and Dumplings will transport you to China from the very first mouthful. Juicy dumplings, flavourful soups, warm miso, sizzling veggies, and so much more, in fact the menu is so big it will take you a second to decide where to start.  

LOCAL TIP: Take your friends, you will need them to get through the mountain of delicious food you are about to consume!

A Mediterranean inspired restaurant that is perfect for groups of all sizes. This bright, eclectic space offers flavoursome meat, fresh veggies and soft pitas.

LOCAL TIP: Don’t forget the sweets! The Baklava and Turkish Delight will top off your night nicely, or if sweet stuff isn’t your thing, check out the authentic Turkish Coffee.

MEKONG

Not all of our international powerhouses are based in the city. Mekong Thai Restaurants are located in Feilding and Summerhill and are well worth the drive if you are looking for a bright, fun evening. The authentic Thai cuisine offers healthy, tasty and (if you like) spicy choices. From the always safe sweet and sour pork to multiple chef’s specials if you’re feeling adventurous!

LOCAL TIP: The roti bread with satay sauce is a must. It pairs perfectly with any dish and the creamy satay sauce will have you salivating for more.
