Magic of christmas + a winter's day out

Magic of Christmas Night Market outdoor stalls ManawatuNZ.co

Built on the love of the festive season, the gift of giving, and gathering with friends and family, the Magic of Christmas Night Market  and A Winters Day Out both offer boutique shopping experiences, a festive feasting hall, hands-on workshops with talented local artists, and live local music. Feel the warmth of the Christmas spirit with your family and friends as you shop, drink and be merry!

When: A Winters Day Out is held in July, and The Magic of Christmas Night Market in the first weekend of December each year.

Location: Awapuni Racecourse

Drawing people from New Zealand, this annual event is not to be missed. Set across 18 acres of world-renowned Rhododendron gardens in Kimbolton, you'll find a record number of artists, creators, makers, growers and artisan producers from across the country. With over 215 stalls, live music and delicious food trucks, Cross Hills Garden Country Fair is a fair like no other.

When: Held annually on the third Saturday of November, with the next event on Saturday 16 November 2024, 9am-4pm

Location: 339 Rangiwahia Road, Kimbolton

Feilding craft market

Feilding Craft Market ManawatuNZ.co .nz

Feilding is home to New Zealand's largest indoor craft and vintage market featuring over 200 stalls with a mix of craft, vintage and retro finds. Get your crafty friends together, take your reusable bags and arrive ready to be inspired and delighted. There's no surprise the bi-annual Feilding Craft Market attracts crowds from near and far with its extensive offering.

When: Held twice a year in October and June

Location: Manfeild Stadium, Feilding 

 

MONTHLY MARKETS //

hOKOWHITU VILLAGE FARMERS' MARKET

A destination in itself, this popular market offers a range of artisan treats and local produce to tempt your taste buds. Bring your family or your flatties and sit and stay for a while, with scrumptious street food and live music making it a complete experience. Meet your community's growers and makers, sample delicious artisan treats, and fill your bags with freshly grown organic produce to take home with you.

When: Held on the first and third Sunday of every month, 9am - 1pm

Location: Hokowhitu Village, Albert Street, Palmerston North 

Mish mash market

A curated collection of bespoke and boutique, Mish Mash is the ultimate maker's market. A treasure trove of local businesses, one off treasures, and local arts are brought together for a vibrant market each month. With a good mix of food, and the iconic Freddie Clere bagels and coffee right next door, plus free-parling Sundays, this is your Sunday sorted!

When: Held on the last Sunday of every month (during the warmer months), 10am - 3pm

Location: 397 Church Street, Palmerston North 

WEEKLY MARKETS // 

FEILDING FARMERS' MARKET

Follow your nose to the town's clock tower, chances are you'll smell the waft of delicious food calling your name before you see it! This award-winning market features artisan products such as locally crafted wines, cheeses, meats and more. Your next charcuterie board will be the talk of the town!

When: Every Friday, 8:30am - 1pm

Location: Manchester Square, Feilding 

Highbury Flea Market

Like bumping into your neighbour in the supermarket aisle, the Highbury market is the go-to place to catch up with fellow locals, and top up on produce, freshly back Māori bread and tasty treats galore. Make sure you visit when hungry, as the freshly cooked food are delish.

When: Every Sunday, 7am - 1pm

Location: Highbury Shopping Centre Carpark, Highbury Avenue, Palmerston North 

Sanson flea market

Get inspired and pick up a vintage gem with the array of antiques and collectables up for sale at this Sunday flea market or check out locally made crafts and goods.

When: Every Sunday 7:30am - 1:30pm

Location: Corner of State Highway One and Three, Sanson
