Learn to Meditate Course

Learn to Meditate - course
with Birgit Saunders

Thinking about trying out meditation? If you have been wondering whether meditation and Buddha’s teachings might have something that could help you keep a calmer and more positive mind amidst the ups and downs of life, this course is for you.

All of us have the same basic wish – to be happy and avoid suffering. We seem to spend almost all our time and energy working to improve our external conditions in our search for happiness.

Superficially, it seems that if we get these external conditions right, we’ll be content and happy; but in reality, such happiness is, at best, fleeting. It can be shattered so easily when things go wrong, and we continue to experience doubts, discontent and problems no matter what we do.

In fact, it is inner peace that gives us happiness that is strong and steady – and the ability to weather the problems that life throws at us with a calm and positive mind. If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.

In this course we learn how to meditate, how to set up our own meditation practice and how to apply the teachings to our daily life.
