Join this relaxed guided walk with Peter Shelton- Thane to explore the many public artworks displayed throughout the centre of Palmerston North. The city is home to a multitude of artistic features – sculptures, carvings, paintings, photographs, murals, mosaics, glassworks and galleries – all clustered within a surprisingly compact area.
This twilight walk will give you an insight into the stories behind these stunning creations, from works commissioned by the Palmerston North Public Sculpture Trust, to murals completed as part of the Street Prints Papaioea Festival.
Shelton is part of Placemaking Palmerston North, an initiative to break down barriers to community-led public space projects – https://www.facebook.com/PlacemakingPN
