Challenge yourself to something new by elevating your fitness routine to new heights in Palmerston North with some relaxing and restorative aerial yoga at The Loft or AT Yoga. Chase the endorphins and get your heart pumping at HIIT Fitness for some challenging but fulfilling workouts, with a mix of HIIT, Body Blitz and HIIT Boxfit classes available. HIIT offers a bit of everything to suit all endorphin chasers out there, at HIIT Fitness you'll be lead by ex-army chef Richard who will push you to the limit, in a good way! Top Tip! If you are tight for time, or lacking motivation after work there is a BootCamp style HIIT class on at lunchtimes, no excuses! But if you can't get away from your desk at lunchtime hit up a class at F45 Palmerston North, a morning HIIT session at Gravitate24, a crossfit class at Crossfit Mana or select from one of the agility sessions at Skillathletic, be prepared to get your sweat on.

Get out of your comfort zone and try something new at Altitude Pole Studio. Offering classes from beginner to expert, the team at Altitude Pole are there to catch you if fall (literally). Start by learning the fundamentals before climbing higher up the pole to learn inversions, and as you progress you'll master aerial moves before going on to play with the pros and learn advanced tips, tricks and combos. Not feeling the pole? Have a boogie at Shake Your Bootycamp where you'll feel like the main character. Shake Your Bootycamp is a 50-60 minute class that focuses on combining fun and fitness through the joy of dance. During the class you'll be taken through a range of dance moved to a mix of music. This full body workout provides so much fun, you won't even feel like you are working out! Want something a little spicier? Try a class at Corps De Burlesque or join Sarah Stewart's Zumba classes in either Palmerston North or Feilding.

Run Wild

For something fun and free to get your heart pumping have a go at parkrun. A friendly five kilometre community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate - it's your choice! Held every Saturday at 8:00am along the Manawatū Riverside walkway at Victoria Esplanade, this event welcomes participants of all paces. Registration is free, and all you need on the day is your favourite running shoes and your scannable barcode. Don't forget to join the team for a post-parkrun coffee at Elm Cafe on 283 Fitzherbert Avenue. If you prefer to get in the zone and run solo, the track from Kōwhai to Kitchener Park is a popular running spot among locals. Enjoy the easy six kilometre loop run starting from the South Street entrance of Kōwhai Park in Feilding, on the way keep an eye out for New Zealand's tallest Kōwhai tree as well as an 800 year old Kahikatea, for more walking and running spots check out Manawatū's walks and hikes.
